Paula Buchta is a rising director originally from Munich Germany, based in Paris.

She was recently selected for the Shiny New Directors List, highlighting her as one of the most promising emerging voices in filmmaking. Her films and visual pieces have been showcased across an impressive range of platforms and festivals, including Minute Shorts, NOWNESS Asia, Kodak, Berlin Commercial Festival, the prestigious BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival and many more.

While constantly working for commercial projects in the outdoor and fashion industry, Paula is currently working with the Italian magazine and cultural platform Italy Segreta, where she is developing and directing their first documentary series across Italy.
